Find Your Passion and Be the Best Human Being You Can Be

Want to know how to be the best human being you can be while taking care of yourself at the same time?

Answer: Find out how to do something that drives you, that makes you head-over-heels excited. Your passion. It can take a lifetime for some to find it. If you haven’t found your passion or purpose yet, do not get discouraged and do not give up!

It took me years of trial and error to get to the place I’m in now. I’ve coached others to never to give up on finding what it is that makes your heart sing–even when I didn’t know what that was for myself.

Not sounding so easy? Do things that take you to a place of play. If you listen to your heart, you can’t go wrong doing this. You will figure out what it is when you least expect it or you can hire someone to help you figure this out. This is now a process I do with most of my clients, and I did this with my mentor–to help me focus and get to the direction I’m in today.

As a former Apple employee, I’ve always resonated with some of the messages from Steve Jobs. Here are a couple of my favorite quotes –inspiration to do what you love with passion.

‘Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.’

‘Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking. Don’t settle.’
